Manual creation of time lapse recordings

1. Creating a time lapse recording

A new time lapse recording can be created as follows:

  1. Press the button with the star. A new time lapse recording is added to the list of existing time lapse recordings in the admin section.
  2. Rename the new time lapse recording by using the right mouse button. Position the mouse cursor on the label of the time lapse recording and right click, then choose ‘Rename’. Type the desired name and press ‘Enter’.

Note: The name of a time lapse recording can be changed any time.

2. Creating a tile sequence (“Monitoring a section of the scene”)

A tile is a section of the scene that is defined by the coordinates ‘Zoom’, ‘Row’ and ‘Column’. For every section of the scene that should be monitored in detail (i.e., tile), a new tile sequence can be created, which contains the images of the tile at the points in time saved in the corresponding time lapse recording:

  1. Choose a section (tile) of the scene using the dialogue boxes for the coordinates in the control section.
  2. Once the coordinates are entered, the corresponding detailed image will be loaded in the replay section and a new tile sequence is automatically added to the time lapse recording in the admin section.
  3. Save the changes.

Note: The yellow marker box in the scene overview of the admin section shows which section of the scene is displayed in the replay section.

Alternately, a tile can be selected directly in the scene overview of the admin section, using the mouse:

  1. Position the mouse cursor in the overview of the scene.
  2. A double click of the left mouse key positions the yellow marker box directly in the required area of the scene. Turn the mouse wheel to switch between zoom levels.

Note: Tile sequences are labeled according to their coordinates and follow the pattern: Zoom_Row_Column.

If you select a time lapse recording in the administration area with a left mouse click, the entire scene and yellow markers for the tile sequences saved in the time-lapse recording are displayed in the playback area.

3. Adding a point in time to a time lapse recording

Any number of points in time can be added to a time lapse recording and be deleted again.

To add a point in time to a time lapse recording:

  1. Choose a time lapse recording in the admin section.
  2. Choose a point in time on the timeline by using the cursor in the information section or the single arrows in the replay section.
  3. Press the "+"-button in the control section. The new point in time of the image is now added to the time lapse recording and appears in the timeline of the information section as a new vertical line.
  4. Save the changes.

Tip: By positioning your mouse on the timeline in the information section and scrolling the mouse wheel, you can quickly jump back and forth between the individual shots over time.

Note: A new point in time can be added anytime in the scene view as well as in the view of a specific tile of the scene.

4. Removing a point in time of a time lapse recording

To delete a point in time of a time lapse recording:

  1. Choose the relevant time lapse recording in the admin section.
  2. Use the cursor in the information section or the arrows in the replay section to select a point in time on the timeline.
  3. Press the "-"-button in the control section. The point in time is deleted.
  4. Save the changes.
